Jamil Miah and his staff welcome you to Denley's Essence of India. As flagship venue of a popular and award-winning restaurant chain, we are highly proud of our cuisine - our chef won the 2007 Exeter Curry Chef competition against stiff opposition - and we hope you enjoy your visit.

Denley's Essence of India occupies a long-established premises, originally Topsham's dairy, and both Denley's and Essence of India are popular within Topsham and the wider Exeter area.

We originally called our restaurant Saffron, but in 2007 we rebadged it as Essence of India for a unique name reflecting our style and cuisine.

Building on earlier refurbishment of Denley's to a comfortable and modern wine bar style, we also refurbished and expanded Essence of India to a capacity of 150, making us the largest curry restaurant in Devon. We are one of the few Topsham restaurants with dedicated parking.
